AFKSEF’s PoloxJazz is a one-of-a-kind cultural experience and celebrity charity fundraiser.

It's Not a Takeover. It's Not a Derby.

It's the Mid‑Atlantic’s largest PoloXJazz 2026 extravaganza. A fusion of equestrian polo match, world‑class jazz, fine cuisine and caviar, luxury automotive culture, after-party, and aviation‑inspired legacy — all rising from the stunning Baltimore Peninsula with spectacular water views.

Renowned film and television actor Clifton Powell—known for his roles in Menace II Society, Ray, and Saints & Sinners—will take the stage as host all day. His legendary career and commanding presence promise to bring energy, insight, and star power to the event.

Mistress of the Ceremony

Shawn Yancey

An award-winning American journalist, news anchor, and philanthropist, best known for her long career at FOX 5 News in Washington, D.C. Born in Indianapolis, she earned a telecommunications degree from Ball State University. Joining FOX 5 in 2001, she became a familiar face covering politics, community stories, and breaking news, winning multiple Emmys and Associated Press awards.

Outside journalism, she leads philanthropy as founder of Girls’ Night Out by Shawn Yancey, supporting women and children through local nonprofit partnerships. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, she joined NBC4 Washington (WRC-TV) in 2021, remaining a trusted D.C.-area journalist.

PoloxJazz exists to honor Black excellence at full altitude—uniting world-class jazz, the regal legacy of Black equestrian polo, and the sky-bound courage of the Tuskegee Airmen into one elevated cultural experience. Rooted in the legacy of 1911 and set on Baltimore’s iconic waterfront, this is more than a showcase—it’s a declaration of mastery, heritage, and forward motion. Through scholarship support and youth aviation pathways, PoloxJazz doesn’t just celebrate the past; it invests in the next generation of leaders ready to rise.

  • There are four ways your organization can get involved, and we welcome participation from both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including universities, social service agencies, civil rights organizations, churches, fraternities, sororities, and other community-based organizations.

    1. Patron – Attend and support PoloxJazz by purchasing tickets or passes and enjoying a premier cultural experience.

    2. Donor – Provide a financial contribution to support programming, artist engagement, and community impact.

    3. Sponsor – Partner with PoloxJazz for brand visibility, recognition, and promotional opportunities while supporting a signature arts and culture event.

    4. Vendor – Participate on-site by offering goods, services, or information to attendees (vendor opportunities are available to both for-profit and nonprofit organizations).

  • The official theme is “Classic Chic with a Bold Touch.” Guests often wear garden‑party attire, wide‑brimmed hats, and colorful spring ensembles suitable for polo lawns and jazz soirées.

  • Bring a positive spirit, your ticket, ID, sun protection, and a light sweater for the evening breeze. Outside food, drinks, tents, and coolers are not permitted.

  • Yes! Matches will take place during the afternoon, showcasing both professional and exhibition players. Announcements will be made prior to each match.

  • A portion of your purchase may be tax‑deductible. Please consult your tax advisor; receipts will be issued by KSEF, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
